Turn stress Into OPPORTUNITIES

About

Hello and thank you very much for visiting my STRESS JUDO blog.  My name is Rick Carter.  I am a trial attorney for over 15 years and have studied martial arts for over 25 years.  I am also a Christian, a husband and a father.  All of these add up to a lot of stress!  I noticed 2 things.  First, I thrived on stress.  Second, the stress of trial and the stress of the dojo were two sides of the same coin, and handled in the same way.  So I developed STRESS JUDO, which breaks stress management down into 12 components, and then ties them together.  Components like time management, meditation, breathing, creative thinking.  Most stress management systems are built on 1 or 2 of these.  But stress comes at you from many sources, so you should have many skills to beat it down.  Just like a judo player learns more than 1 throw, STRESS JUDO teaches these several components.  And just like a trial lawyer ties all the evidence together at the end, STRESS JUDO shows you how to integrate creative problem solving with goal setting with self discipline to find the opportunities in each stressful situation.
